I get it, you want more eyeballs on what you do and meet other people doing what you do. I do, truly.
Yet I also know that if I go swimming in the public pool whose surface is covered in a thick layer of floaters, I can’t complain when people tell me that I smell like shit. Even though I had a good swim. And by the Gods, it fucking stinks.
I don’t think I will be able to change your mind, and how could I? I’m just some human rando trying to fight for democracy. But I, too, could use more views for what I do, for my apps, for my whatever it is I do, but going there inadvertently means propping up “I’m rich, therefore better than you” white supremacist assholes, which appals me greatly. Every account on Twitter/X is an explicit vote for the richest man on Earth supporting fascist ideas, movements, and right-wing parties all around the world.
Nobody gives a shit about all that, I’m well aware, but know that I think less of you.
